I'm the CEO of UMAY - Bart
I majored in mechanical engineering, electronic engineering, and marketing during my university years. The combination of these fields ignited my passion for mechanical design and industrial design. The city where I studied is known as the “industrial hub of China”, and you could see a mechanical factory on almost every corner. This environment deeply influenced me, allowing me to immerse myself in the world of industry. During my studies, I delved into materials science and mechanics, both of which have greatly contributed to my current work in the door hardware industry.
Graduating with a Bachelor of Engineering and proudly earning the title of Intermediate Engineer, I embarked on my professional journey. I was fortunate to join umaylock right after graduation, starting as a production engineer and working my way up to sales manager, eventually becoming the company’s CEO. It’s hard to believe, but I’ve been in this industry for more than a decade now. Over the years, umaylock has grown steadily, expanding its product range and reaching over 50 countries and regions worldwide. We’ve helped numerous clients build their own door hardware brands, and supported many wholesalers in significantly expanding their sales scale.
Driven by my deep love for the industry, I’ve obtained more than 20 patents related to door hardware and its manufacturing. These patents not only reflect my personal achievements but also underscore umaylock’s commitment to innovation and technological leadership.
My work has also taken me across four continents, from Cape Town in Africa to Alexandria in Egypt, from Moscow to Madrid. I’ve had the pleasure of meeting clients from all over the world, and each new destination brings fresh perspectives and exciting opportunities. Looking ahead, I’m eager to explore more cities and connect with even more customers.
The purpose of writing these articles is to share my knowledge and help systematize the often scattered information in the door hardware industry. This industry spans many fields, including die casting, electroplating, metal materials, and mold manufacturing, as well as various industry standards, certification requirements, and security regulations in different countries and regions. My hope is that through these articles, I can assist not only industry veterans but also newcomers in quickly understanding and mastering the essentials of the door hardware business.
